#20 1959 ENGLISH VAUXHALL

My Dad has always enjoyed finding old cars and making something out of nothing. He did things well. I remember when I was a young boy having to sand one old car by hand. 20 years ago, him and my mother were out for their usual Sunday afternoon drive. Near Larimore, ND, mom spotted a unique and rare vehicle parked, stuck in the woods. It was quite tattered and in need of much restoration. But this 1959 Vauxhall was special! Mom wanted it. Dad said, "do you realize how much
that will cost me?" Like her, this car became unique and special. So, Dad went to work and restored the condition of this car from terrible to terrific. So much so, they used it as a semi-regular vehicle all these years. Especially going for Sunday drives. Even outside of North Dakota! I imagine it made them
feel like they were living in the good old days while in that restored Vauxhall. It still runs great. He had to put a Datsun engine and transmission in it, but the body is all original.
Grandma and Grandpa are retired now. In moving to Bismarck from Petersburg, they wanted their
grandson to benefit from this car.
