PURE—MOBIL—STANDARD RETAIL GREASE CANS

In the early days, most all oil companies sold axle bearing wheel grease at their retail sales stores. This grease was sold in a variety of sizes in an attempt to provide exactly the volume that the consumer might desire. The Pure Oil  and White Eagle (Socony-Mobil)  cans are both the 5 pound versions while the Standard Oil (Mica Axle Grease) can is a  three pound can.

These are great original display pieces and accurately depict the sales containers for different company's grease sales in a bygone era!
