TEXACO SKY CHIEF PUMP PLATE

This is a perfect example of an original porcelain finish Texaco Sky Chief  pump plate  manufactured  march 5^th of 1948 and is marked as such. Texaco produced these product identification plates in 3 different sizes and this one is the 12 inch by 18 inch size.

Texaco Sky Chief was Texacos premium high-octane fuel brand and was produced from 1938 until 1982 when it was renamed Texaco Super Unleaded.

These porcelain identification plates were attached to retail sales pumps to identify the product being dispensed from that particular pump and were used industry wide!
